Formless Substance

This series of large, original paintings  reminds us that we live in an abundant universe and that we are surrounded by infinite ideas and resources which we can use to create our best life.

“There is a formless substance from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.

“Man can form things in his thought, and – by impressing his thought upon formless substance – can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.” – Wallace D. Wattles

About My Art

My art is mostly whimsical, sometimes serious and, quite often, just odd. I use it as a means to challenge conventional perceptions of art, money, and value. What is art? What is money? What is value?

A key element of my art is that, rather than sell it, I will only trade it into circulation as payment for my everyday wants and needs and collectors must buy them on the secondary market.

Minnaar Money

My primary unit of account is One Minnaar Artwork, and I have fractionalized many of them into smaller pieces for flexible trading.

Unless otherwise noted in the collection, the Trade Value of One Minnaar is pegged to the price of 1 ounce of gold.

Fractional Minnaars trade for their fractional equivalent (The World’s Most Expensive Artwork being a notable exception).

Hidden Treasure

Each Minnaar contains a clue to a hidden treasure.

How to Acquire a Minnaar

You can acquire a Minnaar by trading with me directly or by purchasing one from someone that I have traded with. Once acquired, you can trade it in to me for any other piece that I have in my personal collection.

Authentication

All Minnaars come with a Token of Authenticity which are required for trade-ins.
