Sounds like cope.

Yes. Crypto boiis are coping hard because they thought their favorite shitcoin was just as important as Bitcoin but now they’re permanently rekt.

Crypto is a superset that includes Bitcoin. You guys just don’t like being associated with alternative implementations.

Nah crypto is just a subset of fiat. Think about it. Why don’t you go beg JP for lower rates…and while you’re at it, go and beg Vitalik to let you unstake your ETH. Bitcoin has no rulers.

You’re either lying or dumb. If crypto is a subset of fiat then Bitcoin has the same problem. They are fundamentally the same class of technology with the same problems. The only difference is that Bitcoin is the oldest one.

I really don’t understand the “bitcoin isn’t crypto” copes.

That's a thing?

Yes, it’s one of the most ridiculous copes I’ve ever heard.

But.. but... it's literally the origin of the term...

ikr

Of all things to form a cult around these people choose a virtual fiat currency...

its branding, marketing

bitcoins power is in how many people use it

may as well make a new blockchain and distribute tokens to everyone free

And yet they wonder why some people call it a Ponzi scheme.

The distinction is semantic, not technical. When I first discovered Bitcoin, there was only Bitcoin. Since then I've watched dozens and dozens of projects spring up. 90% of them are outright frauds. Scams. Of the other 10%, 90% of those will fail. That's just basic back of the envelope tech startup math. That leaves 1%.

So Bitcoiners say Bitcoin is not crypto and all crypto projects are scams, to steer unsuspecting nocoiners away from watching their finances go down the drain with some doomed crypto project.

Personally, I hate when people tell convenient lies.
