Boredom is critical for young children
These times of blankness are where growing brains learn how to use creativity to channel their energy into entertaining themselves, or doing something productive.
Constant dopamine feeding tubes (especially phones) rob them of this growth, which is why so many young people these days exhibit characteristics of addiction, and low maturity overall.
This will not be fixed by reform inside the educational system. The responsibility is on PARENTS to keep phones/screens away from their children as much as possible in those critical early years when their brains are going through rapid growth/transformation.
