Russian median income is about 7900 dollars. US median income is about 74,000 dollars. This is about 9.3X Russia's median.

So the relative cost of these groceries would be about 939 dollars against a US income.

Yes living in Russia if you are earning dollars from a US business is VERY cheap, not so much if you are a Russian working class citizen.

Still a person with a Russian passport and a US business could likely live better in Today's Russia then the same person living in Mexico and be a lot safer there too.
