How do i accelerate a transaction from the memepool website. I logged in and clicked accelerate choose my option and wait is that how it works

Don’t do this, use a wallet which supports this option natively! Mempool charges you a extremely high fee for building the transaction for you

you can throw that private key into an electrum installation and do it there.

Not a good idea because this will corrupt your key. Just connect the hardware wallet with electrum

how does importing the private key to your self-hosted wallet corrupt the key? You can change the transaction air gapped and sign it elsewhere. your private key doesn't change and you can import that to as many wallets as you desire.

Connect your jade with specter, electrum or something else and do it with that. Your key will be safe. You just use a different program to interact with your hardware wallet
