I'm in the steel mill doing the night shift! I hate working at night. More than anything else because when I go home in the morning I only sleep 2 hours and then I wake up. I can't make up for the hours of sleep I lost being at work at night. Moreover, my colleague is not there tonight (there are usually 2 of us in this position) and so I'm alone all night. I have to be careful not to close my eyes or I'll fall asleep and make a mess but it's hard. I don't know how to pass the time between one task and another. And in addition I always have to be careful because here I have liquid steel at 1500 degrees. So I have to hold on for another 5 hours. 3 hours are gone! Give me support and strength to continue without falling asleep. Nice Saturday night of shit. I hate my job but I have to support my family and currently it is the place that offers me the most even if with very heavy hours. Hello friends

Wow

We definitely need to hook you up with some Mint Bliss so you stay alert, clear headed and feeling somewhat alive during these long, grueling hours

Top thank you 😍

Much love 💙

What is being made?

Steel is produced

So ingots, sheet, flat bar, box section? Are you making a finished item or is your job part of a process where the finished steel item is later in the process?

The finished product is the coils. We make the flat bar that then at the end of the production line is wrapped and becomes a coils. I am at the beginning of the process where the steel is still liquid and begins to form a protective box and then solidifies in the following departments. It's a very long line with more departments. I'm at the beginning of the process

Oh wow! So you got to stay awake for the people after you!!

Yes Just like that 🤷‍♂️

Wild!
