Puppy hasn't been mistaken for another breed since she was tiny, when she was mistaken for a shiba inu pup more than once, but what keeps happening is that people ask me if she's a Corgi cross. I very pointedly never ask why they'd think so, in case they say "because she has a tail" and I will have to get mad.
