However it seems not to work for this error.

No we released it under the same version v1.9.0 as it was just a build error

Now it doesn't give an error, but the notifications don't arrive. Does it only work connected to Alby hub or with any NWC wallet?

It works with any NWC wallet as long as it supports notifications capability
