There was a power outage last night, these happen. Yesterday I found the heat-tape broken in our pump house, so I replaced it. But heat tape doesn't work in a power outage. And if I am sleeping when the power goes out, there's no way to take other actions. Time to figure out another layer of protection. Thankfully the temperature wasn't freezing last night.
