Since Lightning Pay NZ launched last year, plebs have been onboarding local businesses to accept Bitcoin. They've processed over $12M in transactions so far.

The Bitcoin Basin launched in Queenstown with its own PlebLab.

There are monthly meetups run by local groups and quarterly nationwide events by Bitkiwi.
