That is an unfortunate (and also fortunate) benefit of bitcoin though :/
Value networks inherently work like this, I love bitcoin. I also love diggers style anarchy…

Money isn't always easy. Nepotism plays a role in that too.

What about freedom of information and expression and exchanging ideas ?

But obvious spam trying to scam people or sell crap should definitely cost.
If they can use multiple accounts to blast a steady stream of fuckery into our feeds, they can pay the cost for the hosting. 🤣

But on a financial blockchain, I do think you should have to put value behind your block space that you are using up

I think it really depends. Like I might not find value in information regarding Bitcoin, but you may find it extremely valuable, perhaps more valuable than money (or Bitcoin).
IMO Everyone should have an equal right to put any information they want to out into the universe (with very few exceptions). But not everyone can afford to pay for everything.
We already basically pay for every action we take. I think it's terrible.
I could definitely see people putting more thought into their posts... But I don't know if we'd have those accounts that are an endless string of amusing memes... Which I do find value in. Sometimes people just need something random to pop up that makes them laugh when they're having a shitty day.
