Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a 14th-century monk, established the Tismana Monastery in Romania, a center of spiritual and cultural significance. Legend says, seeking a place for the monastery, a deer revealed a hidden spring to Nicodim after he prayed for guidance. He also secured donations from various rulers. His dedication to prayer, fasting, and teaching made Tismana a beacon of Orthodox faith.
