Sunk cost fallacy. Very powerful in human psychology, one of the only fallacies that you can't always stop yourself from falling for just by reminding yourself of its name
I was playing minecraft last night. First time and years. And this happened. It was a crazy feeling. I just went back and back and back. Giving it all away. Same experience when I was trading. This is why I just mine from the sun now. Stay out of the depths.
At least you have gained wisdom from Minecraft and trading 🤙
Been there. I spent years drinking to cope.
It was a brutal journey back to happiness.
Now I accept things I can’t control and do my best to do what I can to be happy.
Acceptance that life is a rollercoaster has been helpful for me. We aren't here to be happy all the time. We are here to find meaning and purpose. Sometimes it's pain.
Pain is the best teacher. The older I get, the more I am able to learn from the pain of others. I used to learn only from my own pain.
Many many times in Minecraft.
