Like #Bitcoin, #Nostr does not need you.

All this talk about adoption and user retention is pointless.

Nostr is not a platform the was launched by a company that needs to grow its user base and cashflows to stay afloat.

It is a permissionless, open source protocol. which means that it is simply an idea which has now made its way into public consciousness. If all of the current Nostr clients failed, (Damus, primal, snort ect.) the protocol would remain unchanged and ready to be deployed by anyone who sees value in its use.

Today Nostr may be a small niche corner of the internet. But, as more and more people globally come to see the value in censorship resistant and self-sovereign communications, they will find their way to the Nostr protocol.

Bitcoin and Nostr are both things that are useless until you realize that they are an absolute necessity.
