It’s been interesting watching the bitcoin transaction fees and estimated difficulty adjustment numbers over the past several days. I wish I’d taken more screenshots. The top screenshot below was from 3 days ago and the bottom one is from tonight. At one point fees reached over 600 sats/vB, and tonight they’re around 50 sats/vB. The difficulty adjustment has gone from an estimated downward 9% to less than 1%, which suggests more hash rate came online as the fees went up over the past few days. I find this very encouraging to have watched it happen real time.
