When you unplug your router and plug it back in, you become a new person online. You don't want to use open source software, because there's no warranty. With Apple products, you get a warranty. VPNs are run by really shady people, and you should only entrust your privacy to reputable companies (like Apple). But none of that matters if you use nostr and bitcoin, because they are inherently private.

You read me wrong ..

I only use #Debian and #Vim myself .... other than mdbook which I use for publishing my work ..

I recommend #Apple for those who can't really verify code themselves .. and often wander into downloading random software !

As for #Bitcoin .. fully trust the code cuz it is thoroughly vetted by experts I trust .. not be me directly though I still want to run down one day .. plus the software architecture is such that it is forcibly tested by thousands of nodes ..

#nostr is worthy cause to take all sorts of risk ..in fact I started using cell phone ( only wifi no sim) just to test some of the nostr clients ..

... #nostr and #bitcoin are inherently open /public ..not private .. that enables them to be KYC free ..thus fully anonymous .. no email ..no phone .. no userid password identification ..

Which means , you can be a face in the crowd ..if you don't maintain a highly visible profile ..you don't need any privacy tools with these two ..
