Ben I’ve been following your work for years now. You and I are not gonna agree on the immigration/migration issue. I personally believe humans will move around to find a better life one way or another.

Am an American born Somali, my parents came to America as refugees in the late 80s.

I am from Minnesota so am in ground zero of all the drama.

I know you like to connect dots and follow patterns. Have you asked yourself why Somalis in America are trending massively lately???? Maybe it’s the fraud 😏

Let me offer another explanation of why ALL OF THE SUDDEN Somalis are in the news 24/7.

Remember awhile back Ilhan Omar got in trouble for saying she’ll use her position in the US Government to represent the interests of her country(Somalia)?

Trump and all the conservative media jumped on her and accused her of treason. What Ilhan Omar said in Somali was misunderstood in English. She was saying she’ll use her position in the US Government in relation to Somalia(her country of birth) and Somaliland, a breakaway region in the North looking for independence.

What happened was Ethiopia was going to recognize Somaliland as an independent nation, in return for port access to the Red Sea. Ilhan Omar was speaking about this issue.

Now how is this related to why Somalis in Minnesota are being blasted in the news? Majority of Somalis in Minnesota are from Somalia proper(including Ilhan Omar) and are against Somaliland splitting and becoming independent.

The Trump administration wants to recognize Somaliland as an independent nation so they’re purposely creating this chaos in order to separate Somalis into two groups. Somalis in Minnesota, committing all the fraud and scams, are from Somalia and are bad people.

Somaliland is a new country and are peaceful people.

This might sound crazy but this is exactly what Ted Cruz said in a letter he released calling for Somaliland independence.

Back in August, Ted Cruz sent a letter to Trump

“Today, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy, sent a letter to President Trump urging the administration to formally recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state”.

“Somaliland has emerged as a critical security and diplomatic partner for the United States, helping America advance our national security interests in the Horn of Africa and beyond. It is strategically located along the Gulf of Aden, putting it near one of the world’s busiest maritime corridors. It possesses capable armed forces and contributes to regional counterterrorism and piracy operations. It has enabled the opening of a Taiwanese Representative Office in the capital of Hargeisa, sought to strengthen ties with Israel, and voiced support for the Abraham Accords…

Another key fact comes from Project 2025.

This is what they say

“Policy Recommendation: The Heritage

Foundation's Project 2025 suggests recognizing Somaliland to counter growing Chinese influence in the Horn of Africa, particularly near the strategic Berbera port”.

Another is Israel.

Just a few days ago Israel became the first country to recognize Somaliland as an independent nation and are in the process of signing a bunch of agreements and cooperations including military.

Now why is Israel interested in a breakaway region in the Horn of Africa?

Yemen is the answer.

If you look at the bigger picture, you’ll see that this sudden interest in what Somalis in Minnesota are doing is because there’s a coordinated movement to separate Somalis into two groups. Those fraud loving Somalis from Somalia are bad hombres and they should be dealt with. In order to save the good Somalis from North who happen to need an independent nation of their own.

Hopefully this will interest you into digging deeper.
