Any tips or advice for travelling to Miami for #Bitcoin Miami?

Is it best to be near the conference centre or in Miami?

I vote for near the conference or at least on Miami Beach/South Beach etc. Traffic can be crazy and getting from downtown to the beach can take a while.

Is it worth leaving an extra day in Miami to recover after the event / do other people stay longer in the city?

Would it be genius or stupid to bring a skateboard with me?
