A question - the wallet UX presents cash and bitcoin as peers, but bitcoin is lacking the core functionality of a wallet and missing the features (send + deposit as examples) of what cash has. Why is this? ❓
Offering the currencies as peers makes for such a strong product, but it feels like it’s missing the last step to bring them into a true 1:1 relationship. 💚
#[3] functions as a hot wallet, but is not not a product for long term hodling. The recommendation is to buy sats and move them to cold
storage if you are using strike to buy and hold BTC.
My guess is some regulatory reason for now allowing bitcoin deposits? Something to do with tracking cost basis maybe? For tax purposes
That said, to your point, cash does not have this issue

I’d love it if when I clicked on the strike symbol I could see the value of the bitcoin I hodl on strike in USD/local currency without having to click through and then click again. I suspect I’m not alone. Just a thought!
Great update btw! Today, my family discussed over pizza about how good the update you provided is for people who need to send remittances. It’s fantastic you onboarded a bunch of new countries.
