Who's/What is restricting bitcoin for mass adoption?
Bitcoin is a threat to a very old, powerful, deeply rooted USD institution/cartel. While they can't capture it or stop it, they will make it difficult if not almost impossible to own out right and still allow it to thrive while it still requires fiat rails.
This is a deterrent to the masses, they will want to get exposed to it easily, trusting a fiat custodian like banks. As the market cap grows so will the defense mechanism to protect the USD and those holding power over it.
Your only strategy remains to acquire your own supply in self-custody today and navigate this transition over the next decade. It will be rough.
