I've traveled through Italy. It was awful. No one except farmers are actually working. At all. Anywhere.

We made the mistake on going on hikes through the countryside a few times, with only 1L of water each. Because there are so many kiosks and restaurants and etc. along the way, that we assumed we could refill.

10 km out, in the Italian summer heat, and we find out that everything is closed. Even the gas stations. Before lunch on a normal weekday and despite posting opening hours. 👀

I was supposed to catch a train at a station. I waited for a while figuring that since Mussailini the trains aren't ever on time. After waiting two hours, I finally asked someone. The answer I got was, "Oh, the conductor left three hours ago to watch a futbal game. He'll be back in the afternoon."

😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐

The trains in Germany were perfectly on time. Better food nest the stations, too.

Oh, we're beginning to have Italian-style infrastructure here, now.

My daughter was left standing at train stations for trains that had been canceled, three times, and now she only takes the bus.

That's how I know Germany is really screwed. Geez
