Strange family habit. Unplugging the toaster before they leave the house. Apparently he cant be trusted. All the other appliances are fine but you cant turn your back on the toaster.

Possible reason. My grandmother was a bad cook and burned everything. One time she set a toaster oven on fire. She panicked a flung it flaming into the night from a 3rd floor window where it exploded marvellously on the pavement in a tiny Brooklyn alley.
