Every American and much of the world has heard the name Charlie Kirk. His assassination is impossible to ignore. Absolutely devastated for his family, and can’t imagine the impact this will have on his young children. It has been comforting to see the outpouring of support for his family from the President down. But I’m stunned and disgusted by the celebratory responses that are circulating. I do not wish this fate on my worst enemy and can’t imagine the level of darkness that evokes joy in this moment. We have work to do as a species.
