I've given up on chopping onions. I haven't chopped onions in at least 10 years and maybe 20. I use onion powder, dried minced onions, or frozen chopped onions in my cooking. That way I have no problems. I don't like massive quantities of onions in foods anyway. A little adds depth of flavor, but I don't care for food that tastes super oniony and I dislike raw onions, so these options work fine for me.

ah well, everyone's got different genes i guess... i used to eat brown onions raw as a child, and i've rarely ever got tears from it, except for white onions which i don't like anyway, they are too sour

to be honest i have hardly eaten onions in a long time anyway, going carnivore and all, well, partly carnivore... carnivore and a bit of breadcrumbs on fish fingers and chicken nuggets and suchlike
