Maybe KYC only Bitcoin is what they're really pushing towards. You don't believe it when it's random incidents, however many random incidents start to paint a different picture.

This would mean they need to come for the lightning network. Because it is also a black box.

Most Lightning network users probably use KYC custodians for Lightning. I'd like to think it's getting better though.
