Indeed. Though I do think algos will come and could help a lot with certain things. What I’m hoping for is that there will be some apps with no algos, some apps that allow you to toggle algos on/off, and some apps with standard always on algos like normieland social media - but ultimately the freedom will be in having the choice and seeing how the different models perform in competition.
This is likely exactly what happens.
Zero chance normies can handle Nostr, let alone something like the Fediverse.
