I generally agree, but other species take it to an extreme (bees) for example. Beyond just biology, I think many if not most people would find parenthood rewarding/fulfilling, and I do think there is excessive programming trying to discourage young people from starting families today, but I also would not want someone who absolutely does not want kids or have interest in doing the work to raise kids well end up having kids— puts the kid at high risk for a lot of bad situations.
