It may well exist, I’m certainly not ruling it out but when your original post contains a section labelled ‘testimony’ with no source I’m going to be sceptical.

For every bad government action there is at least the same amount of random bullshit someone else is pushing for reasons.
The UK gov app has been around for a couple of years now, (which I only just learned). The incentive to randomly put it on phones just after refusing a large petition seems off. The comments in the App Store read like the sort of comments people make after being rage baited on X.

This is a testament to the internet: people don't necessarily contact a media outlet owned by a billionaire to verify information.
