i love it when they double down, ask about how it’s cooked and it’s origin, what wine would go with it and everything too..

exactly, ive learned that if i ask for a recommendation i better be prepared to take it
I will do this, but i rarely ask for recommendations because the spiel is too long. I dont want the advertisement or script.
What I want to hear is something like "I actually had the {platter name} earlier and I really liked it". My brain can process that and act on it
I just one one, two recommendations max, no details on the extreme process of how its made and imported garnish etc.
Only when they recommend what I expect them to say. I'm asking cause I want something special.
