The Sate of #Survailance
Every day, the #surveillance apparatus of modern society evolves and expands. Self driving cars, wireless security cameras, even food delivery robots now double as surveillance platforms that can acquire data, support facial recognition, even mood or emotional state monitoring in real time.
This facial recognition and audio data (from the likes of Ring, Serve Robotics, Amazon or CCTV) can then be used to keep us safe, serve us targeted content, or invade our #privacy ... but the optics on which of these three things gets focused on ... is up to the individual.
