I'm not even on team one or the other. But I don't get why you would talk about someone like that, when you both you and them are aligned on the same mission. I mean, come on. These "slops" are probably the ones you have the most in common with of all people. You just disagree with some technical detail.

I don’t think it’s possible to assume good faith at this point. Someone who is trying to get people to move Bitcoin to a project hosted on a machine that has been compromised twice and not rebuilt is not on my team. Think about this. We’re supposed to trust hundreds billions of dollars of value, and for many of us including myself our entire life savings, to development efforts put on a server that has been hacked twice and never replaced or rebuilt? People who advocate for this are not on my team. They are kooks trying to turn Bitcoin into some kind of sick joke. I treat them with the same kind of contempt I have for that nuclear energy official Biden appointed who dressed in the dog fetish outfits and stole women’s clothing. That’s the degree of the mental derangements these people have. I have nothing in common with them. Knots aren’t sending their best. They’re sending morons, they’re sending kooks, they’re sending FBI informants. Some of them, I assume, are good people. But they have to go back.
Bitcoin is for enemies. By definition, some people using it or trying to influence it are not my friends.
Now the drama is in BIP-444 proposal and that one is much more dangerous.

we did some zap tests on this note… we made four attempts to⚡zap this note, at jivanpal@cluborange.org, over a period of about 2 hours. four of the zaps were successfully paid... please check for 4 satoshis received. however, we did find that only two of the payments produced zap receipts in time for our server to recognize them. this is a problem because the user who zapped you would not see an active ⚡icon after zapping. they might think the zap failed, and therefore might not zap you again.... also.... your average zap time was 18699ms (18.7 seconds). we consider this zap time slow... if possible, zaps should be confirmed in under two seconds. (if time is too slow, other nostr users might think your zaps are broken, might not zap you again.) if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- https://rizful.com ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this ⚡zap test again.
I did. the response was that they see it as money. when I tried to explain the difference, a simple OK was said and the topic was changed. one of the things I learned after working in an NGO, it is the moveable middle we should spend time explaining, for others, it is not the time yet. and it will always be a “no” until then.
That's fair; if they're not interested, they're not interested. It just seemed from your original post the you perhaps hadn't asked this question to see where their distrust came from.
