I havenā€™t killed off my Twitter account yet, but getting close. I only still have it so I can read threads and occasionally comments when following a link to a tweet.

I donā€™t post there anymore. Honestly I get more engagement on Nostr. Ever since they introduced required paid plans, I get almost no likes on Twitter.

Likes are a proxy for reach. I do intend to reach people. Otherwise Iā€™d just write in a private journal.

But aside from that, purely on the reading side, I find that Twitter content leaves me bitter and angry whereas Nostr generally doesnā€™t.

Hopefully slowly, if at all. Thereā€™s no algorithm feeding people anger-inducing content to keep them hooked. So it should be possible for us to simply mute/ignore repeat offenders. TBD.
