One time I was on a road trip and at a Safeway in Mendocino CA and when I was leaving this dude was stuffing a huge wad of $20s into the coin star to buy Bitcoin.
I made eye contact and said “good time to buy” and without missing a beat he says “always!” lol it was so awesome. That was when Bitcoin was around 8k spot price, I’ll never forget it.

There is also enhanced privacy associated with these ATMs, with generally less verification needed, especially during the time period discussed in the above note.
