sphynx cats are hilarious, the way you can see the way their skin actually works. it's like a stretchy lycra flight suit.

i would be pretty sketch on anyone keeping one of these cats outside of the subtropical/tropical zones tho. cats don't have strong internal heaters. that fur is there for a reason, to give them a buffer against hypothermia.

i had a pregnant female that i kidnapped off the street and had her do her birth thing in my apartment in 2021 and the stats are 1 out of 3 kittens die because of hypothermia. kittens have almost no internal heater function, they entirely depend on being placed in a warm spot and insulated and mamma spending a lot of time warming them up. i put the corpses in my freezer and gave them a viking funeral (without the fire). poor things. the survivor, i raised him, then the war broke out in ukraine and i decided that i had to leave varna. my little guy hochi went back out on the street and i'm sure he would have been fine, he was a vigorous 3rd generation after a russian blue.
