I don't agree, but you could sign up only to paid relays and thus be sure to only communicate with paying users
Discussion
If I want to paid relays is like I paid a server to join that community. If you paid every post and comment, you’re not spammy to others…
You don't "join a community", you pay a server to be able to push notes to that server, which means that if you assume an average number of x notes every year and a y amount to be paid yearly for the relay, you have an average amount paid for note that is y/x.
Spam does not get to paid relays, but there are also other filters to leave out spam both at the relay level and client level
It’s make sense.. but what is the different paid relay and free relay? It’s just about the feed right? 🤨
Technically no difference
Then Why I need to pay to paid relay? 😂 if no difference,… 🤨
Because long term all relays will need to have some sort of business model to pay the rent. Actually, paid relays would decentralize more the protocol rather than what free relays do. if there's something free, majority goes ther; if everything comes at a cost, people are going to decide given some criterias they value more. Some will value cheap-ness, thus will use the cheapest relays. Some will value long term storage of notes, thus will pay for relays with longer storage. Etc.
Interesting… never join the paid Relay but I can imagine is like you paid membership premium but the difference is your Data not lost… 😂
In the end of the day all the platform need pay the server for Free or Paid. All the platform social media like that, thats why if you Free user then the platform will charge you to watch the ads.
