People need to own bitcoin, not a vaulted prison IOU. The ETFs just push people further away from ever taking custody. Self custody is everything ! P2P is everything ! Freedom is everything ! If Bitcoin hits $1 million and it’s institutional we’ve failed, if no one is adopting and using it we’ve failed. They’re pushing ETFs so it looks like Bitcoin is accepted but it’s just co-opted. No one will be allowed to take custody if they create a ring fence internet. So little time left to break these bastards. I pray the tools are developed to counter this.

This isn’t a rug, this is a full on attack

It is. And in the process of losing the offensive, a lot of people will get rugged.

A cbdc competes with other cbdcs, even if it is on top of bitcoin. I suppose USA can't afford to lose the liquidity advantage of the dollar. I highly doubt the US government/stablishment will be able to roll a cbdc out of this situation. Opinions are welcome

i agree with the folks urging you to make this cut-up 6.0 auv3...

maybe its impractical ?

Worst case scenario: bitcoin becomes just like the internet as of today, ao basically centrally owned and survailed massively.

Best case scenario: bitcoin grows organically as a tool that people actually use, therefore we can enforce way more self sovreignty.

In both cases, Bitcoin will have won...if it becomes centralized as internet platforms there will be still a chance to be sovraign, because no one can stop you just like nodoby can stop you self hosting your stuff instead of using others' platforms.
