3rd time grazing this field this year ans i bet i get a winter grazing too. Only been doing this 3 years and im >30% more productive than the county recommendation. Bettng by year 5 i will be at 1 acre = 1 Animal Unit. Having to cut and sell hay (a shit coin) because i am too cow and sheep poor, so if anyone wants to do some herd sharing stuff dm me.

Have you read this article by John Kempf? It's an eye opener for sure.

No, but i will. Actually have been leaving towards this total grazjng methodology lately bc logically it makes sense. But, and thats a big butt, i dont have (and the country doesn't have) the genetics to actually perform total grazing and keep the cows in good condition. So for now i am mostly rotating to avoid parasites and make my leased land "look good", NOT improve pasture.

The only way i know around this would be to brush hog my pasture after grazing, if i could afford a little bill goat brush hog i would! But for now i need more cows!

What part of MO?

Near KC!

Herd sharing like have someone send you a pot load to custom graze for a season?

That would be cool too. But more so if someone wants to own 1-5 cows i would be able to buy 10-15 in the spring.

Legend!! This is how you manage cattle in a healthy way! Top work!
