Picked up the hardcopy/download hybrid version of this definitive, comprehensive Sanskrit course by American Sanskrit Institute last night.

I chose the hybrid version of "Noun Declensions" as my included Atlas course:

https://www.americansanskrit.com/shop/noun-declensions-atlas-course-downloadable

"Noun Declensions — Nouns are the most common forms in the Sanskrit language. This program includes 360 nouns in 12 declensions, each in all 8 cases, fully printed out, with 12 CDs (Downloads). This is an excellent supplement to Sanskrit by CD (Download Interactive). By providing additional practice of forms, increasing vocabulary and naturally increasing ease and speed in reading Devanagari script."

...and got a hardcover copy of the esteemed and most comprehensive "A Sanskrit-English Dictionary" by Sir Monier Monier-Williams (with well over 180,000 words).

Now, I can let go of my cassette rips and scanned PDFs, and dive deeper into these courses with high quality audio and hard copies of the written reference materials. I am quite looking forward to this.

जय हो (Jai Ho!) Let there be victory!

Most of my American Sanskrit Institute physical materials order arrived today, and I am very happy with the content and quality. The large Atlas is a perfect size at 14" × 9.5". The dictionary will be here tomorrow or the next day. I cannot say enough positive things about this Sanskrit course for native English speakers.

Wonderful seeing you further your spiritual path Ava

Sanskrit देव भाषा (deva bhasha)—the language of the Gods—will never die. People all over the world recite Sanskrit mantras daily for rituals and meditation, yet its status as a spoken language has dwindled over centuries.

To me, it remains the most beautiful and important language, rich beyond measure. For example: while English has just one word for "love," Sanskrit contains a 96+ word tapestry—like prema (universal love), sneha (affectionate bond), anuraga (deep, enduring attachment), karuna (compassionate love), and bhakti (devotional love)—each capturing unique shades of this profound emotion.

I'm doing my part to ensure this treasure doesn't just survive but thrives again. If you feel called to join me, let's celebrate Sanskrit's legacy and rekindle its voice together.
