I find music to be one of the most exciting areas of the lightning network.
Music got me into #p2p technology in the first place.
I didn't even realize how important having a background in using peer to peer technology was to understand #bitcoin until recently. It's obvious, in retrospect. The titke of the White Paper is, Bitcoin: A Peer To Peer Electronic Cash System.
I've never played music, but I liked going to punk rock shows. Integrating the lightning network into anti-authoritarian music seems like an obvious fit.
Doomtree has about 35k monthly listeners on Spotify.
If every listener just zapped 1000 sats a month, the band could stack 35 million sats per month.
Imagine if you did that to your five favorite bands instead of paying Spotify to pay musicians pennies on the dollar.
