Seed phrases solved one problem and created another.

They made recovery possible — but turned everyday users into security engineers, disaster planners, and inheritance experts.

Over a lifetime, perfect behavior isn’t realistic.

Security systems should be built for that reality.

Seed phrases are powerful cryptographic primitives, but they are not, in and of themselves, self-custody.

Bold statement…

I’m not convinced a recovery model based on recovery contacts is self custody either. This is the primary reason I don’t use Bitkey.

FUD advertising is a bad look.

eat shit, gfy

Thanks for creating a seedless device, as well as inheritance and recovery contacts. People that don't like the device because it's seedless and screenless are not going to buy it, but for some strange reason, can't stop commenting about it. Go buy the overpriced coldcard Q and brag about it with your other friends that spend too much time interacting with a device that should rarely be used.

Everyone is an expert. There's a device for everyone and this one may not be the one for you. I like it. Keep innovating. Remembering 12 or 24 words doesn't work for everyone. And that doesn't mean they're not allowed to have bitcoin.

So we are ready to admit humans are not ready for responsibility when it comes to money? 😁All right, thanks for clarification 😁

Accountable behaviour > perfect behaviour
