"All that the Father gives me will come to me." - Jesus Christ

Believers come into Christ because God draws them in, knowing them, electing them, since before Creation.

A gift of sovereign grace, not a reward for character or works or anything we have done, but the will of God to His purposes, not ours.

The extremely challenging, even "offensive", doctrine of God's sovereignty to dispose of us to His liking.

Makes you realize how narrow of a gate it really is when you meditate on these truths and how many people deny them as true despite them proclaiming to be Christians.

“I never knew you”

My early sense of that, is that it's reserved for Antinomians and Legalists who deceive themselves as to their election to Christ.

1. The Father did not draw you in.

2. The Son has not received them.

3. The Son doesn't recognize them.

The Elect are reborn into Christ. They leave the world of sin gradually integrating Christ into themselves.

They do so with their own Free Will but that is only possible because God changed their hearts at a timing of His liking, drawing them in.

If you have become a believer in Christ as your Lord and Savior, then it can be deduced that the Father has drawn you in, regenerating you, giving you to the Son, electing you before Creation.

Now you are walking with Christ in sanctification. Your external self will gradually be made consistent, integrated with your reborn, internal self.

You will learn of God's character, studying His word, finding fellowship, getting baptized, becoming ever estranged from the world, recieving glimpses of His purpose.

Grace irrestible.
