Knots is encouraging users to run nodes, and that makes it a net good. More users leveling up and gaining the skills to help strengthen the network is good.
And Knots detractors shouldn't be so emotionally invested, if they really think Knots cannot accomplish it's intended purpose of slowing the propagation of spam.

There are literally core supporters targeting knots nodes with IBD requests to knock them off the network. Nobody should be surprised to see knots users pissed at this point of escalation.
