GM #nostr - Unexpected expense this morning means having to sell some corn. Not impressed. Gonna try and do the trade for btc directly though. Need new strops for the yacht as one shackle has snapped, the strop has worn through and another one is half perished. Mad, because we've not had any truly awful weather in the last few weeks.

Yeah, by some stroke of luck I called a mate who'd just seen an old acquaintance who had several for sale, so he snagged one for me, then we met up this evening at low tide and replaced the line - I paid for the strop and line with bitcoin, which was a nice bonus, no need to sell sats.
Nice. I was trying to think of a way to exchange some cash for your sats. Would have been happy to pop to Portsmouth but glad you sorted it.

All sorted, sort of.
Got a new strop, replaced the old one, examine the mooring and found several links in the chain wearing a bit too thin....so...another expense as I search for another 20 foot mooring chain 😆
On the plus side, I paid for the strop amd assistance from a friend directly with bitcoin, so that was a bonus.
