**Bitcoin mining air-conditioner proof of concept!**

https://v.nostr.build/Dzl2wLzEWCEKvApl.mp4

A S19 KPro running at 1400w on 110v power blows hot air past a radiator coated with wet zeolite clay inside an empty s19 enclosure. The moisture in the wet clay aggressively evaporates as the hot dry air blows past it creating a cooling effect. The cooled water from the radiator is pumped to a second radiator which absorbs heat and humidity from the air creating a cooler ambient air temperature. This is just the initial setup to see if the concept even remotely works. It's clear from a few sort tests that it is working so I'll continue to iterate on the design.

It would be cool if you could capture the evaporated water, condense it back into water and run it back through the clay.

Rather than spraying a mist ideally you want the water droplets to be big enough that they fall straight down as they get sprayed out.

very cool though. Love seeing stuff like this

I love all the cool stuff you build. I also enjoy learning through doing. Keep up the good work.

awesome

#asknostr I'm looking for ideas for a way to adhere zeolite clay pellets to an aluminum radiator, coating the entire exterior surface one layer deep with pellets. Even better if the adhesive technique maximizes thermal conductivity and contact surface area while not clogging the pores of the clay

Spray adhesive?

Epoxy?

Double sided thermal tape?

Silicone thermal mat?

Colloidal silica?

Please brainstorm with me and let me know which adhesive would be the best to try!

I ✨🧡learn this

hot air has nothing to do with cooling. throw out the asic and use a fan

The hot air has more capacity for holding water which can help achieve evaporation in high humidity environments.

which is cancelled out by the extra heat. this is the perpetual motion machine of cooling

Check this out. The dude is cooling on one side of the clay and heating on the other.

I'll see myself out now... 🤦
