🔐 Single-Sig Spending Policies & 📱2FA!

You can now reconfigure your existing COLDCARD with a policy📑, so it will refuse to sign transactions that are too large, too frequent, or sent to an address not on your whitelist

We have also found a way to support **2FA authentication** using the usual phone apps (RFC 6238). If that's enabled, you will not be able to spend using your #COLDCARD unless you also have your phone and provide the correct #GoogleAuthenticator 6-digit numeric code.

Added file rename, Explorer is now offered for transactions of all sizes, NFC improvement, Added @BullBitcoin_, and many other fixes and improvements!

Was a game changer for multisig, after many requests; Now a Game changer for single sig too.

COLDCARD's Spending policy enforced by hardware is super useful.

The 2FA is just icing on the cake.

This is amazing! Makes me feel much more comfortable using my Q as a single sig and not using multisig.

Unfortunately I guess an attacker who got their hands on the Q would be able to see my entire balance, even if it can't be transferred because of these policies.

Very cool update nonetheless!

The tap signer doesn’t have a screen, so if the application / device that is asking for the tap signer to sign is compromised, you can not valid the transaction details on the hardware wallet. It will blindly sign any transaction given to it.

Spending policies is a great feature! I was wondering if you are planning to support XOR + passphrase in the future to benefit from a passphrase-modified main seed and XOR it with the spending policy seed? I think it could be a great mix!!
