#Bitcoin competes with everything else in meme-space. Itโ€™s a powerful meme, for those who make the effort to consider it.

For better or worse, many minds are preoccupied by other memes, like upcoming elections. People consumed by red-vs-blue donโ€™t have capacity for orange.

This is a time for building. Stack your ass off. You have ~16 months left of uninterrupted stacking time until the world wakes up from its election stupor.

People focus on things they think can personally benefit them. Right now people focus on red vs. blue because the gov. is the rainmaker in the economy ( employs 1/3 of workers directly, distributes checks to ~ 1/2) It literally pays them to participate. As the gov. losses the ability to print endless currency it will no longer be able to employ 1/3 the workforce, and due to bitcoin's unconfiscatable nature taxation will become more difficult; this will end the redistribution from the productive to the unproductive. These forces will cause people to naturally stop focusing on politics and more on production and saving.

why 16 months and what happens after ? (please explain it for someone not in US)

November 2024 is the Presidential election. Most of 2024 leading up to that will have Presidential election as a backdrop (political jockeying, primaries, debates, scandals, etc.)

After the elections is Thanksgiving, Christmas then New Years, then the swearing in ceremony. After that is when the American consciousness settles in for 4 years of whoever was appointed. At that time people can turn their surplus attention to something else (like #Bitcoin).

April 17 is the projected next Bitcoin halving. So before and after people will be looking around saying โ€œwow, that Bitcoin thing is still around? I thought it died in 2021.โ€ Thatโ€™s when the next wave of retail arrives.
