Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Monday called for a full-scale reassessment of the Federal Reserve, questioning whether the institution has delivered on its core responsibilities and suggesting its failures would not be tolerated in other federal agencies.

It would be supremely ironic if the Fed were abolished by a bunch of pols who are mad that it's not inflating the money supply enough for their liking, but they do it for the ostensible reason that it failed to prevent inflation.
Be not afraid of ending the FED, be afraid of what they replace it with.
Someone should look into the IMF and BIS while they’re at it.
