Lots of people appealing to authority whilst seeing no downsides to their ideas lately.. Something in the water?
1) CBDC is needed to ensure "sovereignty"... of the central bank over the serfs
2) Lagarde will do "whatever it takes" to achieve price stability & financial stability at the same time (never mind whether those goals are even possible to achieve at the same time)
These people have no idea how economics work. Or they do know how it works and they’re hoping the citizens never find out. Either way…none of what she’s saying makes sense or will it be good for privacy or freedom of the citizen.
