We need to get out skates on with #GitViaNostr I'm convinced ngit.dev/grasp is the key to a decentralised alternative to github. We need more server implementations and people running them.

Something tells me that GitHub’s service will be undergoing an even faster rate of enshitification than it already has. Since Haven is part of Bitvora’s GitHub, this is ultimately a call for Utxo to make when he’s back. In the meantime, I’m moving my own projects to a self-hosted Forgejo + Grasp instances, and possibly replicating them to a few public ones as soon as possible.

I think the best way to migrate people to #GitViaNostr is to replicate GitHub’s UI/UX as closely as possible. Ideally, creating a ‘nostr github’ client that mirrors GitHub’s interface exactly, with additional UI components only where needed for grasp configuration handling.
