We talk about making Bitcoin easy for grandmas but what about kids raised on tap, swipe, and memes?
Today, we’re announcing the winners.🥇🥈🥉
In just a few weeks, 11 teams built and shipped wild experiments and real apps tackling the barriers kids face when first encountering Bitcoin.
What started as a weekend idea became a mission-driven community! 94 builders joined the Telegram united by memes and a shared mission.
To review submissions and keep spirits high, we brought in 6 judges from diverse backgrounds: @matbalez @dickerson_des @RajarshiMaitra @NikolaSologub @jodobear @studentofbtc
It wasn’t easy, debates got heated, scores were tight, and the final pick felt like a penalty shootout
It was a tough call, but three projects stood out. Here are the finalists of the Skibidi.cash bounty paid in Bitcoin, of course.

Our runner up is developed on bitcoindevkit and soon lightningdevkit The app offers a mix of Gen Z aesthetics while keeping the UI clean. Users conquer the seed phrase as a quest and enjoy a full Lightning experience all wrapped in a Skibidi meme-filled UI. Playful and fully functional! Congratulations!

Anything usable today?
All of them are open-source on GitHub, check Skibidi.cash for links. First two have a working .apk you can test today and third place can be tested locally.
I saw this but I was asling if the apk are somehow usable or just proof of concept/too buggy to use. Was lazy to try myself, I got already dozens of wallet apps installed "just to try it".
I wouldn't call them production ready but #1 is pretty close to that and it's fully functional. It's a hackathon after all, hoping some of them continue to develop their projects.
